Why We Do What We Do
At Northland Therapeutic Riding Center, every staff member brings more than just skill and experience—they bring heart. This page is dedicated to sharing the stories behind the passion. From our first moments in the barn to the unforgettable milestones we've witnessed in our participants, each of us has a deeply personal “why” that fuels our commitment to therapeutic riding and equine-assisted services.
These “whys” offer a glimpse into the people behind the program, and the moments that remind us every day why this work matters.

Stephanie’s Why
My “why” for remaining at NTRC has evolved as I see the impact of what happens here at the center. The magic of what happens between the horses and the humans (both riders and non-riders) is not something I expected! I have been personally touched and affected by my own experience at NTRC and I have been impacted by what I’ve seen happen in others.
