Caregiver Workshops

Northland Therapeutic Riding Center is excited to begin offering a new experiential workshop series focused on nervous system regulation, connection, and caregiving support.

Designed for caregivers of children and adults with disabilities — including parents, foster/adoptive caregivers, educators, and professionals — these workshops create space to slow down, reflect, and explore practical regulation tools in a supportive environment alongside horses.

Through guided discussion, experiential activities, and observation of horse-human interaction, participants will explore:

  • Regulation vs. dysregulation

  • Co-regulation and the impact of presence

  • Horses as real-time feedback

  • Practical tools for everyday caregiving moments
