WE ARE HIRING! - Barn Assistants

Part Time $15/hour

Potential days and times include Monday-Thursday 2pm-9pm, Saturday 6am-2pm and potential for other days and times.

Requirements: 16+ yrs old. Reliable transportation. Horse Experience and willingness to continue learning. Self starter and focused on completing tasks in a busy environment.

Job Description:

Barn Assistants are responsible for the following including but not limited to; being the go to staff member during lessons including answering the office phone to field last minute cancellations. Have a basic knowledge of horse behaviors, vices, injuries and first aid or be willing to learn. Prepare horses for all lessons for the day as stated by the Equine Manager. Safe horse handling skills. Tacking and untacking all sizes and temperaments of horses. Self starter and stay on track and work throughout the whole shift. Engage with participants, volunteers, staff and anyone else who enters or calls the barn in a friendly and professional manner. Potential to feed the herd on the weekends. As well as other tasks as stated by the Equine Manager.

Paid training is provided.
